1
Start by making your templates, remember they have to be seven times bigger than the size you want your finished hair clip.
You'll need a big cat head, a slightly smaller cat head, an eye and a whisker.
You can use my template by downloading the PDF.
Cut these out.
-
2
Draw around your big cat head, whisker and eye templates on to black shrink plastic.
-
3
Cut out one head, two eyes and two whiskers, flipping the template for the reverse.
-
4
Use the smaller cat head template to cut out a cat head from clear shrink plastic.
-
5
When you've cut out all of your pieces, you should have something that looks like this.
-
6
Shrink down the plastic (according to your packs instructions) in an oven until small.
-
7
Draw around the small cat head on to shiny silver paper.
-
8
Cut the paper out a little bit smaller and stick to the black cat head.
-
9
Using clear adhesive, stick the clear head on to the black and then attach the features. Leave to dry.
-
10
Glue a hair clip to the back, leave to dry and wear. Meow!
