it's a key keychain!
An easy, if somewhat time consuming craft. I had all these items laying around my house but it should be cheap. Ask around or post on facebook or kijiji for old keyboards.

  • Step 1

Unscew the back of an old keyboard. Pop out the keys and save the chip for another keychain.
Wash keys if needed and let dry (der). If there's pieces sticking out you can carefully break them with pliers.

    Step 2

Let there be fire! Light the candle and carefully hold the nail with the pliers in the flame.

When it's hot, carefully but quickly poke a hole in the top (nearer the key works better than near the bottom). A slow steady pressure will work otherwise the nail is simple not hot enough (careful it doesn't get stuck!)

    Step 3

Cut small pieces of wire (I use floral wire from the dollar store).
Use the pliers to twist the wire into hoops.

Insert the wire into the hole and glue the wire in place in the inside.

When the glue has hardened, glue around the edges and press onto the felt.

After they cool, cut out the shapes and scrape any leftover glue off. Attach to a keyring or chain and ta da!
