my aunt taught me this knot when she visited this summer, and after some practice i used it in a bracelet. it's really easy to learn but kinda hard to make them perfect.
post questions/comments below! i'd love any feedback :)

Instructions

  1. Step 1 1

get your hemp/any type of cord you're using!
you can use several strings or just one if you're just starting out, so decide what you want and tie a simple knot at the top.
you won't need much if you're making the bracelet

  2. Step 2 2

make a loop with one string...

  3. Step 3 3

overlap the other string under the loop and over the end part of the loop's tail

  4. Step 4 4

and through the bit that the loop string and the other string make
(not the best description i know, haha but take a look at the picture)

  5. Step 5 5

pull the end of the other string under itself (to make another loop), and then over the first loop

  6. Step 6 6

tighten it, use more cords, add beads, whatever! keep going to make a bracelet, using however many knots to make it as long as you want, and you're done :)
