Are your favorite jeans too old, too small, too boring? Here is a great way to remake them and wear them again!
I loved these pair of jeans, but my thighs got to big and i couldn't wear them. The great thing about skirts is that you can pull them up so i decided to make this cute skirt with them. During this journey, i broke way to many needles and was really frustrated, but don't worry, just get some leather needles and it will be okay. Have fun reconstructing you jeans!

  • Step 1

    1. cut off your jeans

I cut off my jeans just above the crotch because they were to tight down there, but you can do whatever feels the best. In the back, i left it longer so that i wouldn't have to worry about anything.

  • Step 2

    2. open up both sides of the legs

These will be the panels of the top and bottom tier. To get the most out of it, use a seam ripper.

  • Step 3

    3. Make the bottom tier

    a. take the longer pieces, which are the back of the legs, and square them up. it doesn't matter if it's perfect.

    b. flip them right sides together and sew seams to create a loop. Turn it right side out.

    c. hem or serge

d.switch your machine to the longest stitch and go around the loop.

    e. Then, gather it so it matches your jean bottoms. Use stronger thread and you might want to wear some gloves. Remember, patience is key!

  • Step 4

    4. second tier.

    repeat step 3

  • Step 5

    5. Attach to jeans

put the smaller tier on top of the longer one and invert it. Put this on the jeans and pin around the circle. Sew or better yet serge. Then turn it right side out.

  • Step 6

    6. Done!

You now have a new stylish jean skirt that will go with just about anything. you can embellish it if you please, but mine was already embellished. Have fun!
