I used Simplicity 0614 for this dress. It took a long time to make and some of the steps were a little tricky -- particularly the facing of the neckline. I used a Japanese printed cotton for the main fabric and an olive green thick linen for the trim. I think next time I will use a thinner fabric for the trim. It turned out really cute! Perfect for dancing in the woods!

The pattern was pretty well written with lots of tips. I really like the Thread's Magazine line from Simplicity. I think the techniques were just pretty challenging. Also the facing would have been much easier with another cotton instead of the thick linen.

I WANT ONE! :) I have been dreaming about making a similar dress but tunic style that I can wear leggings underneath. Gorgeous job!

Very nice. It actually reminds me more of a Korean Hanbok more than Japanese Kimono.... But that's just me. It's still great. :)
