  1. Step 1

    Step 1

Take a sheet of paper, this can really be any size as long as it's a rectangle. For this I used half an A5 sheet.

  2. Step 2

Fold the paper in half width ways and then fold it back out.

  3. Step 3

Fold the two edges in to the middle line.

  4. Step 4

    Fold it back out.

  5. Step 5

    Step 5

Fold in half length ways and then fold it back out.

  6. Step 6

    Step 6

Fold the two edges in to the middle line.

  7. Step 7

    Step 7

Fold up the corners so that they touch the first horizontal line.

  8. Step 8

    Step 8

Fold the paper over width ways so that the fold is along the tops of the corners, do this on either side.

  9. Step 9

    Step 9

Fold back the lines created by folding over the paper.

  10. Step 10

    Step 10

Pull out the tabs until the paper folds in to a box.

  11. Step 11

    Step 11

Write down all of your ideas on to a sheet of paper, cut them out and fill up the box.

  12. Step 12

    Step 12

To make a bigger box that you can use as a lid, leave a slight gab before the middle line at steps 3 and 6.

  13. Step 13

    Step 13

You can use any type of paper for this, card works best.

I have a box that I just stick all sorts of things that I could use or could inspire me. I also have a black notebook and I do heaps of collages. Its kinda a scrapbook cos I put tickets for things and stuff like that in it but its really good and inspires me.

What an amazingly good idea! I keep ideas written in notebooks, but I never seem to find them again, or the pages I wrote them on, end up buying more books and the cycle never ends!

I have made one!!!! Note to people making one, if you are using a sheet with a pattern or colour on one side start with the blank side.

I use to make boxes similar to these but I used old b-day cards and such that I'd receive.

That'd be a great way to recycle all my old xmas cards, thanks for the tip.

If you folded the corners inside and then folded the holding strip in, you have a neat outside. Great box!
