How To Draw Chibis<3

  • Completed Project: How To Draw Chibis<3 Picture #1

Cute little neko!

This is just a basic(kindof) guide to drawing in my style. Being just guidelines, feel free to change pose, clothes, hair, etc, mine are examples of course.

One thing I cannot stress enough is that when doing the first lines, USE SOFT FEATHERY STROKES. This is absolutely necessary, mmk?
There are a lot of steps...more than I thought there would be! (my fault ^^')

  1. Step 1

    Step 1

Grab your pencil and in soft feathery strokes, draw a circle. For some people this is very hard. If you are one of these people....sucked in xP

  2. Step 2

    Step 2

draw a line like this. (it'll be the cheek)
    Recapping:feathery and light lines=good, dark and heavy=bad

  3. Step 3

    Step 3

    Draw 2 ovular shapes. (eyes)

  4. Step 4

    Step 4

    ummmm....draw these lines.
*not very useful, next step should help...zoom in*

  5. Step 5

    Step 5

add the highlights in the eyes (the little circles),draw simple lines for mouth, eyebrows, and those funny little lines that you put just above the eye that are supposed to be eye skin or something. *weird*
Bigger picture of an eye down the bottom.(not that that isn't obvious)

  6. Step 6

    Step 6

Draw some ears, if you want it to be a neko. Personally I find them adorable.

  7. Step 7

    Step 7

    Add some crazy-ass hair

  8. Step 8

    Step 8

Arm lines, tiny little neck lines, shoulder....whole upper arm region lines.

  9. Step 9

    Step 9

    Woot! Hands ^3^
They are so little and grabby!
They are like those long balloons you blow up, but with little bulges for fingers. Hands are hard, don't feel bad if they look mutilated. Just rub them out because your lines will be feathery and light, if they are NOT feathery and light, you completely ignored me and I hate you T.T! *Jks* But seriously, feathery and light, do it or else.

  10. Step 10

    Step 10

    upper leg lines.
    Legs are hard .__.
    for me.
Maybe not for you. I dunno.

  11. Step 11

    Step 11

curved feety thingies. they are only the bits you can see from the top of the shoe, so don't add toes or anything.

  12. Step 12

    Step 12

lower leg lines. They don't look weird, right?

  13. Step 13

    Step 13

    Clothes+shoes.(and bum line)
    Be creative with the clothes.
Make her wear a tutu, or a hat. Or a hyena. Well, maybe not a hyena.
    And a tail

  14. Step 14

    Step 14

Add some more hair and socks.
Now, grab your fine sharpie or artline pen and carefully ink in the main lines. Leave it for a few seconds to let it dry (trust me, wait a moment) then rub out the feathery light lines.

  15. Step 15

    Step 15

colour it in preety with your colouring materials.

Step 17: Bask in the glory. Hope you enjoyed my tutorial.
