I though of this when i needed to make a trim for a scarf but really quickly. So this is so much quicker than the classic circular card method, and it doesn't waste paper :)
1
Wind your wool around your fingers - the more fingers you wrap it around, the bigger your pom pom will be.
Keep going until you get about this thick. If you want a fuller or sparser pom pom, ad or reduce the layers.
2
Take the woolly tube off of your fingers and cut a new piece of wool about 8 inches long.
3
Place the newly cut piece underneath the woolly tube like this.
4
Tie it tightly in a double knot. Wind it round and do the same on the other side.
5
Cut around the edge like this- make sure you cut all of the loops.
6
You should end up with something like this. You can trim any rough edges to make it neater.
