Oh.. and to all of you complaining about them "not growing back" They do. If you take them out. Even at a size as big as an inch, they start springing back to regular size almost immediately... Its like when you take regular earrings out and they eventually close up.
Uhm.. Polymer clay is very porous which makes it a breeding ground for bacteria and it collects the dead skin thats a side effect of having any piercing.. The ribbing of it constantly against your skin would probably lead to infection.. Or they start smelling bad FAST!! D:
And, no offense, but if you like the look .. then gauge your ears already! It looks way better than fake gauges hanging off your freaking earlobes because they're bigger than your ears and no matter what you think.. It looks stupid.
And besides ... Gauging doesn't hurt. And the only risk is getting a blowout... But, if you take care of them, then there is little to no risk of infection.
-i have some polymer clay tentacle gauges and can't wear them for more than two hours. so find a better material-
GREAT idea!! I love those funky swirly ones, but I don't want to be 90 with big holes in my ears....When I get around to buying some clay, I'll make some.
i've always wanted to get gauges, my boyfriend has them he has 5/8" which are HUGE, this is a great solution, i tried buying the fake ones, but they are so much more expensive than the real kind, i love this, i might try and make my own thank you ;D
