How To Make A Slipcover For Red Wine Bottle

Red wine has always been known as fine gift. Although the wrapping paper at store is cheap and beautiful, it is too common. Do you want to light up others' eyes when sending a present?   1. Step 1 1

    Choose a felt in color you like, here I choose a purple one. Prepare two or three appliques as decorations, such as a butterfly pattern or a heart pattern. Cut felt by taking measurements of the bottle with a seam allowance of about 1.5cm or 2 cm for convenience of putting in and taking out bottles. Fold and sew the felt with a length of about 12cm by overcasting stitch and make a knot.

    Finish the body of slipcover
    Cut out the bottom of the bottle by tracing a template on the felt. Sew it with the felt in step 1. Baste an applique at the stitch closure of the body felt. It will be not beautiful with much number of stitches.

  3. Step 3 3

    Make a cover for bottle neck
    Make a cover for bottle neck by the same method with the body cover. Baste a small applique on it. A set of red wine bottle slipcover is done.
