Needed to repot my aloe vera and I came up with this.

Instructions

  1. Step 1 1

Be carefull! Even I cut my finger. Sorry all the pictures are upside down... :)

  2. 2

Cut off the top of the can. Set it aside for later.

  3. Step 3 3

Fold over the edge so it isn't sharp. Squish it flat with pliers.

  4. 4

Poke about 4 holes in the bottom so it can drain. You can use a hammer and a nail or anything sharp.

  5. Step 5 5

Now get that top you cut off. Cut of the edge so that the can will sit nicely on the top. Take of the little tab that you use to push in the lid and throw it away.

  6. Step 6 6

Get your tin foil. Put the top (now the bottom) with the open part facing down on the tin foil.

  7. Step 7 7

Fold the tin foil over the lid. This is to make the dish that collects extra water water proof.

  8. Step 8 8

You are done with the pot part. It should look like this.

  9. Step 9 9

If you are growing aloe, you should mix half potting soil, half sand.

  10. Step 10 10

You are done! It should look like this, but with a plant in it.

  11. Step 11 11

I don't have a plant handy to take pictures of, but put your plant in the empty pot and hold it with one hand while you put handfuls of dirt in with the other. Pat the dirt down. You can use a fat chopstick for this.
