Quick scarf
This year for christmas at the last minute I decided to make gifts for my sister, mom, and some friends. I wanted to make a scarf for one of my friends, but scarves can take up a lot of time. So I was just messing around and figured out this really quick and cute way of making a scarf (now I am sure this has been done before, but I didn't follow any pattern or anything like that for this). I loved the scarf so much I made one for myself!

Terms you need to know:
Chain: CH
Treble Stitch: TR
Stitch: ST
Yarn Over: TO

  • Step 1

CH 16 and in the fourth ch from the hook you want to make a TR ST. Make that stitch all the way across

To make the TR stitch: YO twice insert hook into the ch st. YO and pull through, you will have four loops on your hook. YO and pull through two loops, YO and pull through another two, then YO and pull through the last two loops.

NOTE: This doesn't have to be made with two strands of yarn like mine was. It can be done with one color and still look good.

  • Step 2

When you get to the end you will want to CH 4 turn your work and repeat step 1 until the scarf is as long as you want it.

  • Step 3

Once your scarf is done you will want to sew in the tails. Then you can embellish it anyway you like. I added fringe and flowers to mine.
