Make your own chain tassel
While chain tassels are available ready-made, by making your own you can customize the size, chain, and color of metal to your liking. This technique works not only for a fun necklace, but can be used for tassel earrings, a tassel pendant, or even a decorative tassel for a bracelet.

    Cut your chain into small sections. I used 6 pieces, 1 1/2 inches each.

    Open the end of the eye pin, add the chains to the loop, and close. Tip: If the loop is too small for your chain, you can use a jump ring to attach the chains to the loop instead.

    Slide the pin through an end cap. Grip the wire as close to the base as you can with pliers, then bend the wire at a 90 degree angle.

    Trim the wire down to about 1 cm and bend into a loop with round nose pliers to finish the tassel. Use the loop or a jump ring to attach to your jewelry.
