DIY hot chocolate spoons.
An easy, fun way to create your own hot chocolate spoons at home. A fun cooking project to do with kids!

  • Step 1

    To make the hot chocolate spoons
    Line a muffin/cupcake tray with 9 cupcake liners.
    Melt the chocolate in a small saucepan over the lowest heat possible on the stove.
    Remove from the heat and stir through the cocoa powder until smooth.
    Divide the mixture between the 9 cases.
    Refrigerate for 10 minutes.
    They should be just firm enough to now poke a wooden spoon through without it falling over!
    Refrigerate until chilled and hardened, around one hour.
    Remove from the cases and store in an airtight container in the pantry.

  • Step 2

    To prepare the hot chocolates
    You will need around ⅓ cup of liquid per hot chocolate. You can use either hot water or brewed milk. I prefer them with hot water and a dash of milk, since I find them already so creamy and rich! Pour the liquid into a mug and stir the chocolate spoon in the liquid until completely melted.
