I tried Japadogs while I was in Vancouver and was instantly hooked. Not able to get them in the UK, we attempted to make our own versions which were almost as good!

Cut the nori in to thin strips with scissors.

Chop up the onion in preparation.

Slice the buns and pop under the grill to toast. Also, put your hot dogs on to cook.

Fry the onions with a dash or two of soy sauce.

Spread the toasted buns with teriyaki sauce.

Top with the fried onions.

Lay the cooked hot dog in place.

Sprinkle with the nori strips.

Mix together mayonnaise with wasabi and drizzle on top, ready to eat!
