Christmas is definitely in the air and I can't seem to stop designing holiday patterns!

This cute wall hanging was made from four of my original paper pieced patterns.

The patterns used in this how to are available for free on my website - sewhooked.org.

  1. Step 1

    Piece Lil' St. Nick)

    Piece Mrs. Claus

    Piece Santa's Elf


  5. Step 5

    Stitch blocks:

    Mrs. Claus + Lil' St. Nick

    Santa's Elf + Wonky Christmas Tree

    Press.

  6. Step 6

    Cut 3 - 1 1/2" x 10 1/2" strips of background fabric.

  7. Step 7

    Piece in this order:

    1 1/2" Strip
    Mrs. Claus + Lil' St. Nick
    1 1/2" Strip
    Santa's Elf + Wonky Christmas Tree
    1 1/2" Strip

    Press.

  8. Step 8

    Measure the length of the piece, then Cut 1 1/2" strips the same length.

    Piece to sides.

    Press.

  9. Step 9

    Cut batting and backing fabric slightly larger than quilt top.

  10. Step 10

    Sandwich layers, smooth, and pin in place.

  11. Step 11

    Quilt as desired (mine is echo quilted).

  12. Step 12

    Step 12

    Attach binding.

  13. Step 13

    Stitch or glue star button to top of the three.

    (Mine was a wood star with no holes, so it's glued.)

  14. Step 14

    Step 14

    Attach jump rings or plastic rings on the back corners for hanging.

    Attach a label so everyone knows you made it!
