less santa, more radness!
I HATE CHRISTMAS!!..but i LOVE making and giving gifts. I usually come up with a new theme for my wrappings every year, and this is my favourite way to make gift tags. I used the cardboard from the back of requisition pads from work. (yay recycling!!)and most of the images are from Stencilry.org-you can also use photos of your family and friends, pictures of frankenstein or pretty origami paper..the possibilities are endless, and the result is always lovely and works for any occasion. I've also done an embroidered blanket stitch around the edges of my tags one year. I don't have any pictures, but they looked awesome! try it!

  • Step 1

use a computer photo editor to make the image. I used the same basic image and switched out the main image to make four different ones.

  • Step 2

print em out, cut em up, and cut out a piece of cardstock for each one

  • Step 3

using a long stitch on a sewing machine, or a needle and thread, sew the image to the cardstock. you can glue them together first to make sure it doesn't shift around while sewing it.

  • Step 4

trim the threads and punch a hole. youre done!!

These are awesome! I must try this year; I too prefer the gift giving and making part of Christmas, along with the cooking!
