love your ear flaps!
I had pink and black yarn laying around... just started crocheting a hat with out much of a plan (as you can see by the unplanned stripes). I found a simple tutorial for crocheting hearts and used a the pink yarn to crochet a border around the heart as well as stitching it in place at the ears.
