I really enjoy restyling vintage jewellery – especially necklaces.
1
Gather your supplies. You will need: a medium sized chain-link necklace (mine is vintage), scraps of sturdy material (I chose red leather, royal blue leather and a teal vinyl) and four jewellery jump-rings.
2
Start by cutting out a heart, arrow and ‘Y’ shape from your material scraps. The bonus of using leather or vinyl is that the edges will not fray.
3
Using a large pin, pierce a hole in the top of each arrow piece and two on the heart piece.
4
Attach the jump-rings through the hole you made and then attach all the shapes to the necklace.
5
Easy as pie! I hope you have fun making your very own necklace.
