This Tutorial can be used for any Halloween Books you want to make ... being a huge Totoro Fan I wanted to combine it with this big grey cutie.
Welcome to my Helloween Project 2012 ... last year it had been cute plushies and this year it gonna be Totoro Fimo Stuff ... by the way ... if you don't know Fimo ... it is also called Polymer Clay, but because it is made here in Germany I used it ...

    To cut the hole I used my love scalpel, but you also can use a cutter or another knife.

    When you cutted some pages round, you can start with bumps, hills or something else you want to cut into the book.

    Here you can see my finished part. I cutted several hills and holes and also some clouds into the sky.

    To color it you can use Acrylic Colors or Watercolors with some water. If you don't want to see the letters anymore, you need to use less water.

    When you are done with the color put some glue on the complete book, so the pages stick together in a better way.

    Now it is time for the Fimo. I built directly into the book. In this way you are sure that it will fit at the end when the fimo is baken.

    Here you can see all parts. At this time it is also good for you to take a photo ... in this way you know where to put everything after baking.

    Now you need to be carefully to get all pieces out of the book, because it is not a good idea to bake the book into the oven.

    When you are done with baking, just glue the pieces into the book and set some highlights ...
