I called it a "half-apron" and you can just fold it and keep it in its own pocket.
It's my first tutorial, so I hope it's clear and helpful.

I start with a fat quarter for the apron and enough fabric for the pocket and the bias (I used tape and iron it to form the bias, I don't buy the ready made ones). I used a very thin fabric for lining that in Brazilian Portuguese it's called "Cami". I don't know the name in English. And the lining (any type) it's optional.

Measure the fat quarter to have the apron on the size you wish. I used all the length of the FQ but cut it at 60 cm (23,62") in width. You can leave it like that and go to the next step or you can round up the ends of it. You can use a fancy round ruler or a plate (like me) :P

Take the bias tape, or the fabric, iron it and prepare to sew around the apron and on the top, remembering to leave enough to fasten it.

After sewing the bias, fold the apron to take the measurements for the pocket.
The directions of the folding are on the series of photos at the opening of this post and not in this tutorial. -
The same idea here: you can leave the pocket rectangular or round up the ends. And again I used a plate, a smaller one this time. Sew it.

With the pocker ready, measure it against the apron for the best place to sew it. Usually you have the same distance to the sides of the apron and the bottom of the flip over pocket should get to the bias of the top the apron.

You will sew the flip of the pocket on the apron. Be careful to not sew the opening of the pocket. See in the detail how it should be after it's sew.

Finish it with a button or something to close the flip of the pocket.
