Guitar String Flowers

Easily turn old guitar strings into beautiful flowers.

  1. Step 1

    Step 1

    Loop the string through the circle at the end.

  2. Step 2

    Step 2

    Continue looping as many times as you can.
    *Thicker strings will make fewer loops.

  3. Step 3

    Step 3

    Even out the loops.

  4. Step 4

    Step 4

    Cut out colorful squares from magazines (one per petal).

  5. Step 5

    Step 5

    Wrap one around each petal and snip away excess paper.

  6. Step 6

    Step 6

    Finally, glue, tape, or varnish the petals so that they do not unwrap.
    *You may want to temporarily hold them with a clothespin and varnish them later.

ooh ooh Awesome idea! In a house with currently 9 guitars and counting lol this is a great idea to do with old strings!! :-)

It would be sweet if you could use guitar picks for the petals :0 this is still awesome though.
