  1. Step 1

    Step 1

To start, you will need a guitar pick. You could make your own out of shrink plastic with the Guitar Picks how to.

  2. Step 2

    Step 2

Pierce a hole in to the pick, open up a jump ring and slip it through the hold. Slide an earring hook on to the jump ring and then close it up. Easy!

With a pin or something pointy and sharp. You could bang a nail through it too if you like or attempt punching a hole through it with an eye-lit gun. It's not too difficult to do with just a pin though.

Use a dremel. It's a small hand held drill unit for crafts

I just used a thumb tack to pierce the hole, I guess it depends on the thickness of your pick though.

I made a pair and used a needle that was heated but i should have used a thinker needle. I also put a light weight chain on the earring hook and made the earring a bit longer.

There is a much easier way to do this and it looks great. One of my top sellers at my site. Buy a leather punch..I know its about $12 but it has many many uses!! It can punch through the thickest guitar picks or leather when putting on spikes, studs, grommets.. you name it. I even use it for my bottle cap jewelry ! :-) They put in a jumpring or two.. add to earring hook and yay! perfection

I started off by using a sewing needle and heating it up. It started to melt the plastic around the hole, so I decided to use a dril. You just need a 1/16" drill bit and it works awesomely. No mess or anything. Just make sure you drill on top of a piece of wood or even an empty shoe box.

I also make guitar pick earrings. I use foredom to drill the hole, then attach a couple jumprings, earwires and they are done and are a very popular item.

Nice, I`ll give it a go! But will do it perforating the pointy part instead... might look better but won't be able to play guitar however... you can though!
