Create a gray & pink shimmer eye
I love, love, love pink and gray right now…maybe it’s because you can’t get away from the pastels and gray that are all over pinterest….or maybe its the kind of Deco quality that it has…I don’t know–but I’m hooked. I often do a matte pink and gray eye…I also do a kind of white shimmer and gray eye a lot–I love them both and will continue to do them but I have just added in another gray eye look curtosy of a recent clients request. Let me introduce you to the pink shimmer eye. My client wanted an eye look that was very light on the lid..with just a touch of pinkness or color and then a lot of dark smokiness. She had very round eyes and wanted to elongate them so we stuck with a lot of lightness on the lid, a nice exaggerated outer “V” and a great cut crease. It was a great look on her and I will share the photos when the wedding day comes. For now, I hope you enjoy this elegant and soft look!! If you don’t have these exact colors, use a lighter blue/gray for scene and a darker gray for print. I used LORAC’s “Unreal” from their “Unzipped Palette” all over the lid..it is a kind pinky/goldy shimmer. Products Used: MAC Eyeshadow in “Scene” and “Print”, LORAC “Unreal” from their Unzipped Palette, MAC Paint Pot in “Soft Ochre”, “MAC Lipstick in “Please Me”, Maybelline Eyestudio Gel Liner in “Blackest Black”

    Step 1

Conceal the entire lid up to the brow, all around the eye and underneath the eye. Set with powder. Apply your primer all the way up to the brow–I used MAC’s Paint Pot in “Soft Ochre”.Using a big fluffy, apply LORAC’s “Unreal” across the entire lid…stopping at the brow bone. It will look something like this:

Using your tapered big fluffy, apply “Scene” to the crease and the outer half of the eye…don’t go over the pink that touches the brow!! Make sure you leave a bit of it showing so you have something to blend your grays into….keep a nice diagonal going on the outside by applying this shadow in a “V” shape. Is should look something like this:

Using your bullet brush, apply “Print” to the crease and the outer “V”. Drag some of that color down onto the outer half of the lower lash line. It should look something like this:

Using a stiff brush, apply your highlight from the brow bone down into the inner corner. Using your big fluffy, blend, blend, blend all your colors together. Apply your fake eyelashes and go over any excess glue with gel liner. Apply a coat of mascara to blend your lashes together. Apply gel liner to your water line…smudge any excess into the lower lash line with your bullet brush. Using your bullet brush, pick up some “Scene” or “Print” (depending on how smokey you want) and apply it to your lower lash line. Your final product should look something like this:
