Description

Instructions

  1. Small cuff1 1238344106

To get the size right, cut a strip of paper, in the width that you would like your cuff and fold it around your wrist, cutting to the right length.

  2. Small cuff2 1238344194

Using the template as a guide, cut a piece of black fabric, measuring double the height of the template, with an inch allowance at either side.

  3. Small cuff3 1238344416

Fold the fabric in half, height ways, and pin along the top edge and bottom edges, so that you get a nice neat rectangle.

  4. Small cuff4 1238344461

Sew along the open edge, removing the pins as you go.

  5. Small cuff5 1238344583

Remove the pins from the other edge and fold inside out. Place a row of pins about 1/2 cm in from both edges.

  6. Small cuff6 1238344704

Sew along both sides, removing the pins as you go.

  7. Small cuff7 1238344858

Cut a strip of tartan, measuring half the height of the template, and two strips of lace to the same length as the cuff.

  8. Small cuff8 1238344904

Pin the tartan down the middle of the cuff and the lace to either edge.

  9. Small cuff9 1238344984

Sew along either edge of the tartan with a zigzag stitch, this will help the fabric not to fray too much, but still enough to look cool.

  10. Small cuff10 1238345042

Hammer in two parts of a popper button to either side of the cuff, making sure that the placement is perfect for the cuff to fit nicely. Neatly stitch up the two open edges.

  11. Small cuff11 1238345099

Embellish however you like - you could glue star studs along the cuff, or stitch on buttons and beads.

    All done, wear with pride!
