  • How to make a napkin / napkin ring. Golden Napkin Rings - Step 1
    Step 1

I started with a salt dough made of 1/2 c. salt, 1 c. flour, enough water to make a soft dough, and just a touch of vegetable oil.(I used the veggie oil to help give a nice smooth texture.)

I formed 8 rings around a cardboard tube covered in aluminum foil from the soft dough. Then placed the tube on a foil lined baking sheet.

  • Step 2

The rings, on a baking sheet, where placed in a 200 degree oven until dried through. (This took a couple hours.)

    Let cool.

    Step 3

Paint with Gold spray paint.(I usually paint mine inside a box to keep from getting paint all over everything else.)

    Let dry.
