Give Peas A Chance Stovetop Casserole

Another easy dinner for two: hearty no bake casserole.

This is another low budget dinner I concocted. Prepare the pasta according to box directions. While this is cooking, heat the vegetables in a separate pot. Drain cooked pasta and add cheese sauce. Drain peas and mushrooms and stir them in. Add drained tuna. Mix well, keeping pot on the burner so everything stays warm. Salt and pepper to taste. Top with French Fried onions (optional). There could be a lot of variations on this with different noodles and veggies, or with canned chicken or ham instead of tuna. I'd love it with fresh acre peas.
