Snazzy charms from recycled gift cards!
 <  Image 1 of 5  >

I just collected some gift cards with neat designs. (You can take them from stores for free if they don't have any money on them, if you feel weird about it just ask them if you could take a few) Then cut out various shapes from the gift cards: squares, circles, hearts... Then, being careful not to puncture your finger (ahem, like i did) use a thumb tack to poke a hole in the shape at the top, about 1 or two millimeters from the edge, into a piece of wood behind the shape. pull the tack out and put your shape onto a jump ring and thread onto a chain. Ta da! you've got your own Gift Card Necklace--a great way to recycle.

PS: I used a ball chain, because I like the look, but when I put the necklace on, all of the charms fall to the middle and you can't see them all. If you would prefer for them to be separated, just use a traditional chain and thread each jump ring through one of the chain links.
