I picked up some fabric sample books (donated by a local fabric store)at my local recycling center. After cutting out the tiny fabric pieces to use in a patchwork project. I was left with loads of fabric pieces that had paper glued to the back. I designed these tags so that all of the pages in the sample books could be used. Now I don't ever have to buy gift tags again ... haha

Score some of last seasons fabric sample books from your local recycling center or fabric store. Wall paper books will work too!
Cut out the shape of your tag and a heart shape out of different fabrics. Use the fabric that has paper glued to the back of it ... use your paper free fabrics for a patchwork project :)
glue the heart onto the fabric tag shape. Then glue the fabric tag onto a piece of card stock. This gives the back of the tag a clean back so that you can write your message on the tag.
With your glitter glue, outline the heart. Let dry.
Take your hole punch and punch a hole at the top of the tag. Then with your grommeter tool insert a grommet into the hole. Tie on your string. Finished!
