Really simple but people always seem really impressed by this. Just make 2 simple pound cakes or Victoria sponges in a giant biscuit cake tin (or just one with scalloped edges of a more simple, plain on top cake)use a large heart shaped cookie cutter for the hole in the top cake and fill it with jam after you've sandwiched the cakes together with the butter cream and jam.
