I had an old pair of old, faux leather boots with the leather peeling off. I took some old scraps of fabric and.... now some sweet funky, funky shoes!!!

  • How to make a boot. Funky, Funky Boots - Step 1
    Step 1

    You will need
-zig zag scissors(to keep your fabric from fraying
-heavy duty glue(make sure the glue you use is waterproof and dries clear)
    -heaps of fabric scraps
    -optional fray block

    Step 2

Glue scraps onto your boots. I recommend using smaller scraps and starting from the sole of your boot up.

sorry it's taken awhile to get back to you!!! it works pretty well. i did this project really quickly and did not take the time to glue the top of the boots properly. so, the dried up glue on one of the fabric pieces rubs against my shins. just be sure to take your time with the glue especially on the very top and very bottom.

I've been making my own boots, too. I've sewn my materials on, takes forever that way. How well does the glue hold up? I posted my shoes on another site and not sure I can post the link.
