First off, these are scottish pancakes or 'dropped scones'. Mix 100g self raising flour, 50g caster suger, a splash of vanilla essence, one egg. Add milk to your desired consistency (best to aim for a thick consistency that will still drizzle easily off your spoon). Take a smaller amount into a separate bowl and add your food dye. Heat up a griddle or frying pan with some oil and drop the plain mix into circles to desired size. When you start getting a cooked look use a tea spoon to drizzle on whatever pattern you like using the coloured mix. When you start seeing bubbles flip the pancakes. Remove from the heat when they're done and eat!! Easy!
