Hello everyone! These are a great little project that I like to put nice messages in and send to my friends when they're having a rough time, or just because I feel like it :). They're also something you could write on and put in your Dream Jar, Happy thoughts Jar, bucket list, or anything you like! I used to make them when I was little just to keep my hands busy. They are super easy and you can get a bunch done really quickly!

Instructions

  1. Small 2014 04 07 233855 messagepp

Cut your paper into the size of your choice, I like to do roughly the size of a sticky-note which is 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 inches, but you could use a whole piece of paper if you like! I then write a little quote or message on the un-patterned side.

  2. Small 2014 04 07 233955 paper1

Next, take your pencil and wrap your paper around it, careful not to let it unroll when you slip it off.

  3. Small 2014 04 07 234106 paper2

View the picture which is showing how to do the following: Use your thumbs and index fingers on one hand to pinch the paper down flat, then with your other hand pinch in the opposite direction. (Almost like you're trying to make your fingers kiss!) leave them pinched for a couple of seconds to make sure they don't unfold. Keep pinching in the same manner, holding down the side you've just finished as security. Make sure your first and last pinch are in the same direction! ( It'll make more sense as you try it:) ) It's very easy and quick once you get the hang of it!
