this is my finished fruit skirt (which i've talked about in my blog numerous times). i made a while ago, and i thought it was well about time i showed it off. it's my favourite skirt and i looove it. i have a lot of fabric left that i don't know what to do with, any suggestions? at first i thought i'd do another one, this time with the fruit pattern vertically, as i first intended to but somehow screwed up, but now i really don't see the point as i love it the way it is.
i sort of followed a tutorial i found on craftster.

Ahhh, I have been meaning to make a ton of these skirts, Looks really good
Did you use interfacing for the waist, or just doubled over fabric.
And zipper? I'm all excited now, want to go make it

thank you!
i used interfacing and folded the fabric as well, i don't know if that's really neccessary but i like the sturdiness. and yes, there's a zipper at the back.
you should definitely make a ton, and i'd love to see your results!

You could make a matching handbag!! Or maybe one of those short little 60's style tie-scarf thingies!! Then if you wear it with the black top and black shoes you'll be all decked out in fruity goodness
