1. 

   

   find an old shirt

2. 

   

   make lines at the bottom of shirt where you would like to make it pleaded (if you want it pleaded). pin the material at the lines




3. 

   

   repeat step 2 until you have as many pleaded sections as you want

4. 

   

   mark where you want to cut the shirt for your purse. cut along those lines, cutting through layers of the shirt




5. 

   

   remove the extra scraps

6. 

   

   it should look like this

7. 

   

   sew along the bottom, the sides should be together because you didn't cut that part. take out the pins as you sew along them

8. 

   

   you may want to reinforce the strap with the extra material from the shirt

9. 

   

   enjoy your purse!
