I found a great homemade stuffy pattern book and adapted the skills needed to make this cat for a friend's birthday. He was blown away. Found the cute embroidered fish accents by accident on a fabric hunting trip. Tshirt fabric came from the scraps of a reconstruction project.

Best just to play around with an animal, robot, object of desire. Cut out a pattern leaving a seam allowance of at least 1/4" - tshirt fabric needs a room for the snagging and pulling it does since it's so stretchy. Sew the embellishments and embroider details FIRST - then sew the front to the back. Stuff and stitch closed!
