My first attempt at a checkbook holder!
 <  Image 1 of 5  >

This is a labour of love, and it's almost complete! As you can see, the closure is not quite done yet, but I'm going to work on that, then edit the pictures, but this is my first task, and I used all the fabric from old wallets and scraps of material! I'm an beginner, so the lines aren't straight, but I'm still working on it :) Be patient about the tutorial, because I really made up the design out of my head (I LOVE COLOUR!!!)

I want to sew SO badly. I have a dinosaur machine, that I would love to practice on, but I am afraid to attempt turning it on (the wiring is so old!)

thanks so much for the lovely comment! I need to still get a fastener for the button, but my sewing machine (a Sew Janome Petite) is too small and I need a "full size" machine! That, and I'm teaching myself to sew, so it's slow going :)
