I previously posted this tutorial, and then removed it because I found a better, easier way to make them. So, here is the revised project.

  1. Step 1

    Step 1

    Cut the aluminum can so that you have the bottom third, then cut sides and roll to form flower like base.

  2. Step 2

    Step 2

    Place first bead onto shank of thumbtack.


  3. Step 3

    Step 3

    Then push tack through the center of your base.

  4. Step 4

    Step 4

    Now arrange six more beads around the center.


  5. Step 5

    Step 5

    Put the whole thing in the oven for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and push thumbtack down until even with base. Then, back in the oven for another 10 minutes, or until holes in beads have disappeared.

  6. Step 6

    Step 6

    Allow your creation to cool and then pop off the base.
