A little back to school gift for my mum <3 yay felt flowers!
So I wanted to make something for my mom to brighten her day. She happens to love yellow and flowers, so I decided why not make something to do with both?

I came up with the idea to make a pen cover. You're going to need green felt (obviously haha) and then any other color for your flower. The flower was not super easy to figure out at first. I've found that the easiest way to do this is to make the flower in two main parts.

1. Cut a wavy strip of felt and roll it up, then sew it rolled up. This gives the nice rolled center look.
2. Cut out little petals (either tear drop shaped or a half moon--up to you!) and sew them onto the center individually.

You could do the second part by cutting out a bigger wavy strip and sewing it onto the center but I'm not really sure how to do it that way (so I didn't).

Then sew on three green leaves to the bottom of the flower. Next measure your felt against your pen and then sew together the ends to make the stem. I left some room at the end of my stem so that I could put the cap back on without a problem. Finally, sow the stem onto the flower, and you're done! Quick, easy, and a cute little gift!

Have fun!
