Treacle Flap Jacks.
Easy to make but they do have a strong flavour.

If you prefer, you could substitute the treacle with golden syrup and the flavour would be more mellow.

You can also add dried fruit to the mix and make it a little sweeter.

  • How to bake a flapjack. Flapjacks - Step 1
    Step 1

    Pre heat the oven Gas 4 or 180.

    In a pan melt butter sugar & treacle.

    Cook until the sugar is dissolved.

    Remove from heat & add the oats.

    Step 3

    Place into lined tray.

    Cook for approx 40 - 50 mins until edges are just turning brown.

    Remove from oven and cut into slices.

    Allow to cool before removing from tray.
