Fingerless Gloves From A Scarf

  • Completed Project: Fingerless Gloves From A Scarf Picture #1

Fingerless Gloves made from a scarf

Only recently started to learn to sew and this is my first creation. My boyfriend brought around a load of his old clothes for me to play with and amongst everything was a scarf. Needless to say i didnt like the scarf so i cut it to the desired length and then with a zigzag stitch i sewed the ends. I then turned over the seems and used a overlocker sewing stick so it stretches with the material i then folded the scarf over and used the same stitch to join the material together leaving a hole for my thumb.

Now i have completed it i have learnt that i should have notched the seems to make it look less bulky at the ends. Not the best creation and probably wont last very long but for my first item im happy. So i thought i would show it off. I fold over the seems at the ends because you can see the thread but i think its meant to be folded over anyway.
