Cuz medical tape ain't cute
 <  Image 1 of 4  >

If you have trigger finger as bad as I do, your wrist braces, finger splints, and medical tape are never far from your reach. All that tape holding your pale, swollen finger in a comfortably immobile state is practical, sure, but is it ever unsightly!! I figured that a pretty crocheted splint cozy with a bit of ribbon accent would be worth making. It doesn't help much with the questions about what I did to my finger - cozy or not, it looks weird - but I think it's nicer to look at. Also cuts down on the chafing from the splint AND keeps that finger warm in cold weather (it gets kinda sweaty and susceptible to chilly wind).

If you can crochet a hat, you can make your own finger splint cozy. It really is that straightforward. If someone really wants a how-to (and I can't imagine anyone would), leave a comment or whatever.
