  1. Step 1

    Step 1

Cut out two felt circles. I used the bottom of a coffee syrup bottle for a pattern.

  2. Step 2

    Step 2

Thread needle with coordinating thread of 1st circle. Start at center and do a running stitch to the outside.

  3. Step 3

    Step 3

Parallel to the stitch you just did, do a running stitch back to the middle.

  4. Step 4

    Step 4

Pull the thread tight and tie a knot.

  5. Step 5

    Step 5

    At 120 degrees, repeat steps 2, 3, 4.

  6. Step 6

    Step 6

Another 120 degrees, (or 1/2 way between material left) repeat steps 2, 3, 4.

  7. Step 7

    Step 7

With the different color felt and coordinating thread, make second "flower". Through the middle, sew them together (rotating second flower 120 degrees so you can see back flower piece).

  8. Step 8

    Step 8

Decorate flower with buttons, beads, other felt pieces, etc. Just let your imagination go!

I used a plain, small button and sewed on with beads.

  9. Step 9

    Step 9

Glue a pin back on your flower for a spring brooch or use as a decoration (I made a smaller one for a hair decoration on a felt doll).

Make a whole bunch and decorate a pillow or a straw hat.

Too cute! My favorite flowers are the panseys and johnny jumpups!
I am sooooo ready for spring so we can go out and frolic with our mini goats! LOL
I just may have to make some purple ones to wear whilst frolicing! (I love that....whilst word!)
