I made a template from card, cut out 2 hearts in my chosen felt colour, made a patch in a contrasting felt colour and just sewed it all together. I actually used a heart brad, but buttons, ribbon and anything else can be used to decorate the centre. A few drops of oil in the filling is also nice, and attach a ribbon when you are sewing the top after stuffing so you can hang it up. Voila!
