Instructions

  1. Step 1 1

Get a good base, I used cardboard cardstock type of material. Thin but still thick enough. Cut it into a tear drop shape.

  2. Step 2 2

You want it to have a slight bend that's even all the way through. At this point spray it with clear gloss paint to seal it. it should keep the base water proof to a point.

  3. Step 3 3

Cut felt into the shape of the base with a little extra available.

  4. Step 4 4

Like this, once that is complete glue the felt to the base while keeping the extra off the sides.

  5. Step 5 5

Proceed to hot clue the extra felt to cover the corrugated edges.

  6. Step 6 6

Might hurt a lil, but if you push it up with your thumb and pull it across the top you get a really nice finish.

  7. Step 7 7

Done the bottom of the base. Now repeat for the top.

  8. Step 8 8

Cut your lining for the bottom as well. Make sure there is extra fabric on the sides for both the lining and the fashion fabric. Start with the lining then move on to the fashion fabric.

  9. Step 9 9

    Here is my fashion fabric.

  10. Step 10 10

To seal the odd looking sides use a thin border lace. Glue it down.

  11. Step 11 11

Then embellish how you want and when finished embellishing use either a comb or clip to add to the bottom at an angle. Its how you will clip it to your hair.

    Then you're done!
