Break down of what was used:

Cake board is actually a giant foam board (the cake was rather big)

The board was covered with fondant and the clouds, reins and insects are made from fondant

I then painted the hills on using food colouring

The tools are made from sugar-paste

I used buttercream to pipe grass

And finally the horses are vanilla and chocolate sponge filled and covered with vanilla and chocolate buttercream!

This cake grew bigger than planned but for a first cake it turned out great!
It was very time consuming and there is no way I could have done it then without my boyfriend and sister :)

So don't be afraid to try something new!!
