Fabric Hair Band

Look stylish with a super simple fabric hair band.

  1. Step 1

    Step 1

    Cut an oval template out of paper. Remember the size of your hair band will be the size of this template folded in half. Draw around this template on to your fabric.

  2. Step 2

    Step 2

    Cut out the fabric shape.


  3. Step 3

    Step 3

    Fold in half, so that the wrong side is facing out, and pin along the open edge.

  4. Step 4

    Step 4

    Sew along this edge, removing the pins as you go.


  5. Step 5

    Step 5

    Trim off any excess edge.

  6. Step 6

    Step 6

    Fold inside out and sew up the edges.

  7. Step 7

    Step 7

    Sew half of a popper on to either side and it's ready to wear.

Cut out an oval template for the head band. Can you give more specifics on size of your oval template (for average head) or tell how you derived at your size of oval template? Also, I do not know what a popper is, that you mention in your instructions. Your head band is pretty. Thanks.
