  • Step 1

    Gather your supplies

  • Step 2

Use template to draw 2 hearts on fabric

Fabric can be the same, co-ordinating, clashing - whatever takes your fancy :D

  • Step 3

Place right sides together and sew along outline using backstitch (or machine)

Remember to leave a small gap for turning and stuffing.

  • Step 4

Cut out, leaving an 0.5-1cm seam allowance.
    Snip around curves.

  • Step 5

Turn and stuff, before closing the gap with tiny stitches.

  • Step 6

Embellish with hanging loop, buttons, bows etc

  • Step 7

    VARIATIONS

For a different look, cut around template and over stitch/ blanket stitch/whip stitch wrong sides together.

Sew hanging loop in at step 3 (remember to place ribbon loop inside, between the right sides, and catch the loose ends with your outline stitching)

Make a scented sachet by adding dried flowers or herbs to the stuffing at step 5. Lavender works well.
Alternatively, shake a few drops of essential oil onto stuffing.
