Description

Brightly coloured, glittering firworks explode on a night sky background.

Instructions

  1. Small 3601

Gather your materials, black and clear nail varnish are a must, the dark sparkly nail varnish and the brightly coloured varnish are up to you, just make sure that these show up brightly on black, nail art pens will work best.

  2. Small 3602

Start by painting your nails black.

  3. Small 3603

After 2-3 coats your nails should be pitch black. Leave to throughly dry.

  4. Small 3604

Now use a slightly transparent sparkly blue or black varnish preferably semi-transparent. Just 1 coat of this. And one again leave to throughly dry.

  5. Small 3605

Now choose a bright colour and either with a nail art pen or thin paintbrush start by making a petal shape. Starting off like a blob and dragging out into a slight point. Where this point ends is your centre of the firework.

  6. Small 3606

Now repeat in a circle, almost like a flower shape, don't be too neat.

  7. Small 3607

And then repeat again, slightly outside the inner circle, spacing the "petals" out a bit more.

  8. Small 3608

And repeat again, and again until you are happy with your firework.

  9. Small 3609

Use different colours and start the firworks in different places until all your nails are done. And leave to throughly dry.

  10. Small 3610

Apply a clear coat of nail varnish and with a complementing or contrasting colour of glitter sprinkle lightly from the centre of the firework outwards. Don't over do it and be warned this is messy.

  11. Small 3611

Apply glitter on all your nails, leave to dry and then apply 2-3 layers of top coat.

  12. Small 3612

Once dry, congratulate yourself on a gorgeous set of nails.
