An embroidered heart picture. It was a bit of an experiment but it worked out quite well.
I started with drawing a heart shape on a large piece of paper. Then I cut out pictures from a pattern book but you could draw your own. I then transferred the pattern on to a square piece of white cotton (an old sheet)
Once your pattern is transferred on to your material embroider over the lines. You can use any style of embroidery but I just used a simple line stitch. Work your way around the pattern until it is finnished.
When I finnished my embroidery I streatched it over a fabric frame I got at Ikea, but you could use any frame. Happy stiching :)
